Elementary – Basic courses
About Course
This Elementary – Basic course provides students with the fundamental tools needed to navigate everyday Spanish conversations with confidence. Learners will begin by mastering the critical distinctions between ser and estar to accurately describe identity, traits, and locations, while also exploring how to express emotions and physical states using estar, sentir, and tener. The curriculum expands practical communication by focusing on high-frequency verbs like pedir, servir, preferir, and poder, enabling students to easily make requests, offer assistance, and discuss their preferences and abilities. As sentence structures grow more dynamic, students will practice pairing conjugated verbs with infinitive verbs and learn to streamline their speech using direct object pronouns. Additionally, the course grounds students in daily routines through the application of reflexive verbs and their corresponding pronouns. Finally, learners will develop the ability to give directions and friendly advice by mastering both negative and affirmative informal commands, including the specific rules for attaching pronouns to affirmative commands. By the end of this course, students will possess a versatile grammatical foundation ready for real-world interactions.
